Please join us to pray for the needs of the parish, the Church, and the world!
There is a group of faithful parishioners who gather every Friday at 7:00pm in the church to pray the Rosary and the Divine Mercy. Rosary beads and prayers are provided, but you may bring your own if you prefer. We pray the Sorrowful Mysteries because it's Friday.
We pray for our families, for peace in the world, and for an end to violence. We pray for our priests, our bishops, and our Holy Father, the Pope. We pray for the sick, for those who have asked for our prayers, and for those who have no one to pray for them. Personal intentions are also added.
We also include other prayers, such as the Memorare (a beautiful prayer that asks Mary for her intercession for our needs), the Prayer to St. Joseph, the Prayer to St. Michael the Archangel, and the Prayer to St. Gertrude for the release of souls in purgatory. They depend on us to assist them!
The whole experience usually takes about 30 minutes.
In the warmer weather, participants bring beach chairs, and we pray outside in front of the Statue of Our Lady at the main school entrance.
Participants come as often as they choose. One session does not depend on another for continuity. What matters is that we are praying!
Theresa Ranagan is the contact person for the group. You can reach her here by email or by cell at 201-248-0082. She would be happy to include you in a text reminder about the group, including when there is an update or when it has to be canceled because of inclement weather.
